I am a Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence team Team based in Annitsford. I have worked in the legal industry since 2006.
Prior to 2006, I worked within the NHS. I qualified as a Registered Adult General Nurse in 1996. I worked mainly in the field of peri- operative practice and became an Orthopaedic Theatre Sister in 2003. I completed a Ba Hons in Nursing Practice in 2006 and left nursing to work in the field of medical law.
Since 2006, I have worked within clinical negligence and have a wealth of experience in all aspects of medical law. My legal career commenced with Irwin Mitchell LLP and I completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in March 2014 and LPC in 2016. I completed my training contract and qualified as a solicitor in September 2016.
During my legal career, I have gained extensive experience in cases involving orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, elderly care, cancer, still birth and nursing issues such as pressure sores. I have also assisted on a number of birth injury claims. I joined Browell, Smith and Co in 2021.
My hobbies include running, keeping fit and I am a member of North Shields Polytechnic Athletics Club. My greatest achievement is running the London Marathon with a finishing time of 3.30.14.
