Compensation for injuries to the knee are spilt into 2 categories; moderate and severe. Injuries involving dislocation or torn cartilage/ligaments which result in minor instability, weakness or other mild disabilities can range from just a few hundred pounds to as much as £18,700.

Where recovery is complete, the award is unlikely to exceed £4,200. However, much will depend on the period of recovery, the risk or presence of osteoarthritis and whether there has been an acceleration of a pre-existing condition.
