After completing a BSc in Medical Microbiology and Immunology at Newcastle University I made the decision to change my focus towards law, going on to complete my GDL and LPC at Northumbria University. Given my scientific background Medical Negligence was a perfect fit and I have practiced solely in this area of law throughout my training contract and after I qualified in 2016.
After working in Teesside I joined Browells in 2018 as a solicitor in the Medical Negligence department. I relish the opportunity to continue using my knowledge and experience to help the people of the North East obtain justice when their medical treatment goes wrong. I have handled all types of Medical Negligence claims and have particular experience of claims involving sepsis and where patients have been provided insufficient thromboprophylaxis prior to surgery.
Outside of work I enjoy football, spending time with friends, reading and getting in the garage and seeing what I can put together. With a group of friends I was lucky enough to be chosen to compete in the Redbull Soapbox Race at Alexandra Palace in 2015 and 2017, and I was even luckier to make it to the bottom of the hill in one piece on both occasions.
