Mr R underwent an operation to remove his gallbladder. During surgery the common bile duct was extensively damaged. The client required reconstructive surgery in a specialist liver unit. Court proceedings were issued and the case settled for £40,000. Case 2
Mr S was an elderly man whose death was caused by a delay in diagnosing lymphoma. The case settled for £24,000. Case 3
Mrs M required an emergency caesarean section to deliver her first child. During surgery her bladder was damaged and a ureter blocked. A further operation was needed to repair the bladder and free the ureter. The client was left with a reduced bladder capacity. The case settled for £15,000. Case 4
