Case 1
Mr Johnson a 62 year old plater, had his leg amputated as a result of it being crushed by a 10.5 steel pipe. Proceedings were issued with funding from the GMB and as a result an out of Court settlement was reached of £380,000. Case 2
Mr Pearson was working on a press machine at work when part of the machine suddenly sprung forward trapping his left ring finger between two sections of the machine causing a crushing injury. Mr Pearson suffered a chipped bone in three places on his left ring finger and loss of a nail, damages were agreed at £2,831. Case 3
Mr Brown aged 44 at the date of the accident received £2,250 compensation. He was employed as a refuse collector. He suffered injury when he was struck by a bag of refuse being thrown by a colleague. He suffered a laceration to the side of his head which resulted in scarring. He also suffered headaches and blurred vision. He successfully pursued a claim against his employers. Case 4
Mr Smith was a passenger in a friend's van. As a result of a road traffic accident he suffered whiplash for a period of a couple of months with residual pain. Recovery was anticipated within 12 months of the date of the accident. Settlement was agreed at £2,300 within 7 months of instruction. |
